Atlantic Skies has a very long and illustrious history as a virtual airline, providing a solid and lasting environment for Flight Simulator pilots around the globe. From humble beginnings in 1993, to the first web-based automated PIREP system, to one of the first VA-specific desktop applications to interface directly with MSFS and provide automatic and detailed PIREPs and logbooks, we have been flying for well over 10 years and have been considered a leader in the virtual airline industry for most of that time.
There are currently 3635 flights in our regular schedule, including scenic CATEGORY A flight lines around the Caribbean and Alaska. In addition, we occasionally offer our more experienced pilots Special Operations flights, sometimes requiring aircraft not in our regular fleet, that are both challenging and exciting.
The Automated Airline Communication and reporting system, or AACars as we call it, the desktop program our pilots use, has successfully tracked and logged 1361 flights since it was first introduced in late 2002. It also offers the added bonus, if you have a consistent connection to the Internet, of allowing other pilots to follow your flight through our Flight Board, as you see near the bottom of this page.
